Making available over the internet – Database and Copyright Law – Where is Information made available over the internet? – Football Dataco Ltd (FDC) v Sportradar
Football Dataco Limited, The Scottish Premier League Limited, The Scottish Football League Limited and PA Sport UK Limited v Sportradar GmbH and Sportradar AG involved the High Court deciding a question of law relating to where the making available over the internet where this occurs; where the server is located or where the data is accessed. The Court held making available over the internet is the same as broadcasting and therefore the act of transmitting material over the internet takes place on the servers in Austria and Germany.
